Welcome

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Dementia UK.

This is an exciting new opportunity for the right person to join a fast growing and innovative charity as the Deputy Director, Finance and Governance.

We know that when someone develops dementia (which includes Alzheimer’s disease) it doesn’t just impact the person with the diagnosis – everyone around them is also affected in some way. That’s why we’re here. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually develop - provide life-changing support for families affected by all forms of dementia. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible for as long as possible.

Over the last few years we have continually increased what we can deliver for families living with the effects of dementia by significantly expanding our clinical services and increasing our income and national awareness.

Following a period of successful growth of the organisation, we are looking at transforming the way we do things including investment in our people, technology and infrastructure to best meet the changing needs of the people we help.

Accordingly, we need to grow our team in the Finance and Corporate Services Directorate and now seek talented individuals to help us on this journey. It is vital that we have strong Leadership to drive these important disciplines - if you want to make a difference and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.

Within the rest of this pack, you will find information about our activities, our vision and mission, our achievements and values. You will also find details of the job description and person specification and information on how to apply for this opportunity.

Please do not hesitate to contact our retained consultant Anna Mandl at Prospectus for an informal conversation about the position.

Kind regards,

Suruchi Saraf

Director of Finance and Corporate Services
